Abstract
Each mine using open pit methods, will always meet a problem on the slope angle stability, these problems must be addressed, especially since mine planning for mining operations based on the shape and the amount of existing reserves. in order
to overcome problems of the slope angle of technology and expertise needed to support the implementation of a stable slope angle for planning and calculation of reserves. The data required in the calculations in this way are: High slope, slope angle, rock properties such as weight per unit volume, rock mechanical properties such as cohesion and friction angle, soil and water conditions. The assumptions used are: cover layer material (overburden) and between the layers (interburden) considered as soil, rock layer is considered homogeneous and continuous, not a circular arc-shaped AvalancheFrom the results of geological mapping and laboratory analysis indicates that the entire area of the open pit development plan
shows the following results:
Morphology is almost entirely a plain area
Muaraenim Formation dominated in the study area: consists of Claystone, Sandstone, less breccia and Coal as insertion in Sandstone
Structural Geology that there is not much affect the physical properties of the rocks
From the analysis of the slope stability can be summarized as follows:
Single bench: heigt levels are 4 meters, degree of slope angle are 430, safety factor 1.4
Overall bench: heigt levels are 50 meters, degree of slope angle are 310, safety factor 1.2
